Dr. Jakir graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology ( Former Name is BIT Dhaka,1997), a Higher Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering (1999), a Master's degree in Communication and Network Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia (2003), and a PhD degree in Smart Technology and Robotic Engineering at Universiti Putra Malaysia (2012).

Dr. Jakir is currently an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Multimedia University, Melaka, Malaysia. His research interests are in the areas of Artificial Intelligence, Data Analytics, and applications in Anomaly Detection, Robotics, and Control.
